Project Brief:
Combating child labor and seasonal school dropouts in rural Seemanchal blocks through supplementary learning centers, free school kits, and parent awareness committees.
Project Context:
Floods and seasonal agricultural migration frequently interrupt children's schooling, causing high dropout rates by middle school. Zycon's community centers bridge learning gaps.
Project Goal:
To retain vulnerable children in mainstream schooling and ensure foundational literacy and numeracy for all enrolled students.
Project Objectives:
- •Establish 6 free remedial tutoring centers in flood-prone blocks.
- •Distribute 2,000 complete school kits with bags, textbooks, and geometry boxes.
- •Form community village education committees to track student attendance.
Project Activities:
Remedial Learning Hubs:
Daily interactive classes led by local youth teachers focusing on foundational math and reading.
Anti-Dropout Parent Advocacy:
Door-to-door community meetings counseling parents against early child labor and marriage.
