Clean Water & Rural Sanitation Drive
Project Brief:
Installing community water filtration plants in arsenic-affected areas, constructing school sanitation blocks, and running public health hygiene campaigns.
Project Context:
High arsenic and salinity levels in shallow groundwater pose severe health hazards in parts of North and South 24 Parganas. Access to safe drinking water is the primary prerequisite for disease prevention.
Project Goal:
To provide clean, tested drinking water and modern sanitation facilities to vulnerable rural habitations.
Project Objectives:
- •Install 15 multi-stage community filtration units in high-arsenic habitations.
- •Renovate school toilet blocks with dedicated girls' privacy units.
- •Organize regular water quality testing and community maintenance committees.

Deploying iron-arsenic removal water plants supplying 200+ households per unit.
WASH Education & Village Drives:
Youth volunteer cleanliness campaigns and handwashing awareness in primary schools.
