Matri Shakti incubates women self-help groups through structured tailoring training, organic product manufacturing, micro-savings facilitation, and local market sales linkages.
Project Context:
Rural women in North 24 Parganas possess traditional artisanal and domestic skills but lack organized enterprise platforms. Matri Shakti converts collective potential into financial independence.
Project Goal:
To economically empower marginalized women, enhance household incomes by 40%, and foster female leadership in village governance.
Project Objectives:
- •Establish and train 20 active women self-help groups.
- •Provide subsidized sewing machines, fabric kits, and soap-making molds.
- •Facilitate digital banking, UPI payments, and micro-loan linkages.
Project Activities:
Certified Vocational Masterclasses:
90-day hands-on tailoring, apparel cutting, and organic soap crafting workshops.
Market Fair Stalls & Distribution:
Connecting SHG products to local markets, state handicraft expos, and institutional buyers.
