Indigenous Artisan & Handloom Support

Project Brief:

Supporting traditional Sambalpuri ikat weavers, pattachitra painters, and terracotta artisans with raw material grants, contemporary design guidance, and direct exhibition platforms.

Project Context:

Middlemen exploitation and fluctuating yarn prices have pushed master artisan families into debt. Zycon provides direct support and fair-price market linkages.

Project Goal:

To safeguard indigenous craft traditions and secure sustainable, dignified monthly incomes for master weaver and artisan families.

Project Objectives:

  • •Provide subsidized high-grade cotton yarn and organic dye kits.
  • •Host design modernization workshops combining traditional motifs with modern apparel.
  • •Sponsor artisan stalls at national handicraft expos.

Project Activities:

Raw Material Support:

Direct distribution of yarn bundles and natural mineral dyes to registered artisan cooperatives.

Exhibition & Digital Showcase:

Cataloging artisan portfolios online and facilitating direct buyer orders.
