Sundarbans Rural Healthcare & Mobile Camps

Project Brief:

A flagship initiative deploying mobile volunteer medical units and conducting multi-specialty diagnostic camps across geographically isolated delta and border villages of West Bengal. Patients receive free physician consultations, ECG, diabetes screening, eye checkups, and complete generic medicine courses.

Project Context:

Sundarbans fringe villages face extreme geographical fragmentation with few primary healthcare clinics. Villagers often travel hours by boat and road for simple diagnostics. Zycon's medical teams bridge this life-critical gap directly at their doorsteps.

Project Goal:

To eliminate preventable morbidity and mortality in rural West Bengal by delivering free, high-quality preventive healthcare and specialist diagnostic camps.

Project Objectives:

  • •Conduct at least 24 free multi-specialty health screening camps annually.
  • •Screen and provide free medication to 5,000+ chronic disease patients.
  • •Identify high-risk cardiac, diabetic, and pediatric cases for hospital referral.
  • •Conduct hygiene and clean drinking water health literacy workshops.

Project Activities:

Multi-Specialty Medical Camps:

Physicians, gynecologists, optometrists, and pediatricians offering comprehensive clinical consultations.

Free Generic Medicine Distribution:

Supplying 10,000+ prescribed medicine packs, multivitamins, and diagnostic testing strips at zero cost.

Preventative Community Health Literacy:

Workshops on seasonal vector-borne diseases, water-borne infection prevention, and maternal hygiene.
